Hi guys

Ive got an electrolux 3 way fridge RM4271 which wont work on gas. The pilot lights but wont stay in no matter how long you hold the knob in. Is it the defo the thermocouple or could it be a stat or gas valve problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated. And any suggestions about where to get the spares would be good also.

I agree - probably the thermocouple.

I was going to add that as they are quite cheap - (the one for my Camping Gas free standing fridge was less than a fiver a few years back) - but I have just had a quick look and they are nearly £50 for that fridge (official Electrolux spare). 

If it were me, I'd get the fridge out, remove the thermocouple, and scout around for a 'generic' one.  Once you've got the fridge out, give the burner a good clean and try it again - worked for me once as the burner was covered in cr*p

Cheers Roger, that sounds like a sensible starting point before i take the fridge out. I'm going to take a look at it today, I hope it's as simple as that.

It was all working last year when I put a new 230v element in and a new thermocouple while it was out. I've not used it on gas as we always go for a hook-up but it was working, so I'm thinking it could well be some sort of deris or spiders web issue rather than a T/C failure. or maybe the T/C has moved out of the flame, i can't remember how the flame end was held in place.

All fixed.

Gave the burner section a good clean out and then re-aligned the flame end of the T/C.

Not sure which was the problem but it works great now. Thanks for all the advice.
