do not know your layout or where the wood support is on yours.we have a bailey ranger 500/5 with a wardrobe and i have found that nowhere on the caravan walls will support a bracket.what i had to do was find a place i could insert a piece of 3/4 ply 6 x 6 inch that could not be seen.this was glued in and left to dry, this i managed to do in the wardrobe, and the bracket was bolted through the wall of the wardrobe and the ply.it carries an 18 inch tv with no problem.make sure you site the tv at eye level when being watched or the picture will not be good to look at.

all walls and ply used in your caravan will be 5 m thick and not strong enough to hold your tv.unless you can find a piece of 3/4 inch thick or the frame of van on the underside you could have problems.

Hello Phil

Sorry but I don't know the van either but I wasn't happy with the TV bracket on mine flapping about with the weight of the television on it when on the move.

I have removed one of the bolts that the TV swivels on and replaced it with a thumb screw.  It is then a simple matter to remove the TV whilst travelling.

i modified mine to take a long pin behind the tv bracket itself, this way i can remove the tv and put it in a bag.only takes a second to refit the tv.tv rides well just on the front seat.

Hi Phil,

I have a Series 5 Ranger 550/6 with exactly the same support you have.  Did you fix a normal bracket to it and has it worked for you.  I was thinking of doing exactly the same thing you discuss...........

Cheers,

Dave

Hi, My brother fitted a TV bracket to his van - it's hinged so you can push the TV back against the wall when not in use.  He attached 2 velcro straps to the wall behind the TV so that he could strap the TV up when towing.  Not sure how much support it gives but his TV has stayed put for the last year or so with no damage to the caravan ot the TV.  Good luck with it
