This I'm sure will be the the daftest post of the year but here goes: We purchased a Abbey GTS Vouge 216 caravan back in November last year, superb bit of kit, we took it out for a weekend just after we purchased it to make sure everything worked whilst its under guarentee, everything was fine and worked perfect except for one thing.......... The Clock......... it works and keeps good time, but its an hour fast and I can see no way of how to change the time, I have felt the back of the clock nothing, I have felt around the side of the clock nothing, I have searched the internet and trawled through all the caravan manuals that came with the unit and nothing. I can only assume that the clock either pushes out of the panel or the 2 screws that hold the panel in place need to be removed to gain access but I honestly don't know and I would rather ask for help than risk breaking something. So please any owners of an Abbey or simular please advise me. Thank you
the back will lift off to change battery and change time. as a rule they are on a rubber ring round the clock and pushed into a hole in the cupboard side wood. should just push out.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
The round analogue clock in our caravan which is located at the front fascia (between the two cupboards above the front windows) just pushes out from the back. Once the clock is removed there is a round panel on the back of the clock that you prize out with a thin screwdriver to gain access to the battery and the circular finger dials. To replace you just slide the clock back into the round hole again and set it vertical (from the numbers 12 & 6).
As above. They are usually held in place by a ridged rubber band. If you can't get access to the back then gently prise the clock out with a blunt knife or something similar.
Ours is in a recess in the fascia, fou have to get something behind the trim to ease it out from the front, there is no way you can get to the back of it. once out it looks like any other quartz clock.

You should think yourself lucky - Our van doesn't even have a clock! Must be one of the few caravans ever produced that doesn't come with a clock.
Ours doesn't have one and we have resisted the urge to have one on display, it's not because we don't like them but when on holiday its so nice to ignore the clock for a change after chasing it all week.
How long do you find the batteries last in these clocks. We have two clocks in our caravan, both the same and both flattened their batteries in 6 months.

Are they AA size of button types? Most AA sizes last about a year or so on ours in the house. I can't see why they should differ but if they both run out at similar times could if be because the temperature changes are more severe in the van?
