Hi all

Am very intrigued by this as I have a 93 ABI Sunsstar and another ABI of around the saame vintage which has the exact same eletricals as yours and smoke emanating from the beast ! So, on mains only at the moment but need to sort out. The wiring is a bit of anightmare for anovice like me and I wondered what the final solution to this is ? Is it possible to just link in a batter charger through two wires as sown on your diagram ? Since as far as i can undersatnd the "block" on top is just a wiring transfer and has no other mysterious connections. Would much appreciate anyones' thoughts ! Thanks
Howard

The control panel is a PluginSystems  PMS6 - no doubt you are correct the charger is built in - since my posting the internet has informed me the significance of the 3 position switch - I'd mistakenly taken it to have only two positions - the charger does light the bulb lights but is reluctant with the strip lights - perhaps I'm being a little too gentle in my attempts to withdraw the control box.

Where did we get to with this? clue is 'plug in' systems, all the wiring plugs in the back and the box is then screwed into the hole, it will then come out, As for the charger, it's built in or better still riveted on the back which makes fitting one of These a doddle

Howard if your talking of the Logic1 then you are experiencing the typical overheat problems with it, it does then need replacing.
You can use the one I've linked to above but in your case, care must be taken to ensure wiring is adequate to take the extra current.

Thanks again for this. Bought the charger and am only now in a position to install it. But have come up to a major headache with all these wires on the box!. Obviously some are from the car cable etc and I spoke to a very helpful chap at Amperor who has persuaded me that even he, as a caravan electrician has found it difficult to explain !

You indicated it was a doddle but I'm doddling around and have ended up with an open circuit. Just assumed that I could plug the 12v outlet from the new charger into the paddle on the block where the original b
