Hi! Have just purchased our first caravan, a 1980 ABBEY GT212. Looks to have been very well looked after but could do with a manual for it. Can anyone help? Currently trying to find the slats for the double bed, and generally any information regarding the detailed 'make-up' of the van.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give...

cheers Michael, there do appear to be plenty on there and i'm sure i could pop something together myself, was just wondering if there's some hidey hole around the van where they may be hiding or otherwise tucked away.

Ours is a 1984 model and there are no slats under the front chest, there isnt any space for them. I ended up buying some from Ebay and store them in the toilet or under the bed when not in use.

If I remember I will find the manual for ours - its not to hand at the moment as its inside the caravan which is in storage 3 hours away. Hope to pick her up in a few weeks so I will dig it out then

On my old two berth there wasn't slats. You used the table to make the base of the bed. I made my own in the end

Thanks Sarah, that would be really nice of you! Pretty sure i'll end up putting something together to straighten out the bed. Any other info regarding the caravan itself would be really handy; it's our first so just need to find our feet with it i guess!
