one of my Bailey Ranger windows is letting in water, the wall boards are soft to touch just below the window.
Can anyone point me to a guide to resealing a window?

Thanks

We have a 2006 series 5 ranger It's not difficult to reseal the windows I had I slight leak on one of our windows that showed up one day when I was washing the van it turned out to be in the bottom corner where some of the sealant had pulled away I took the window out and resealed it but really all I needed to do was turn the rubber back on the outside and squeeze some sealer in the gap
I went round all the windows afterwards and turned the rubber back all the sealer was intact but I did run a bead of new sealer around each one just to be on the safe side

The list below may assist you and anyone wishing to help -

(1) Ascertain exactly where the water is entering the van - window itself? ( if so what part of the window) - window frame? - (again, top, side bottom seal etc )  Quite often damp in the window corners of a van is the result of leaks where the roof meets the top of the side wall and front.

(2) Stop the leaks.

(3) Cut out and replace damaged parts. This has been made very much easier by modern day fibre glass products and glue/sealers.

Thanks for the tips.
I am already in the middle of recealing the offside awning rail so maybe it's that thats causing the boarding around the window to go soft.
I am replacing the wood that the awning rail screws into as its totally rotten away.
The window surround wood is also quite damp so I will replace that also, I am not sure about how to go about refitting the window, should I use sikaflex 512?
I looked at the links above but most are offline, but couldn't find a guide for window replacement.
Thanks
Tim
