I have just brought caravan out of storage before going away over Easter. I plugged the electrics in at home so I could sanitise pipes etc. However as soon I did that I tripped the electrics in my house. The electrics in the van seem to be working fine from the battery. What seems the most likely cause. I was thinking dodgy cable or maybe damp in the caravan plug socket. Any suggestions please.
Try disconnecting the hook up lead from the caravan, just leaving the lead connected to the house to eliminate the lead.
You should then have some trip switches in the caravan, switch those off and the charger and switch them on one at a time to eliminate the various circuits.
Try switching the mains circuits off in the caravan and the switch them on one at a time and see which one trips the electric , also check the battery charger .
