Hi, I have a hobby 560 prestige and have just blown the transformer by putting a generator onto it without having a surge protector anyone any ideas where I can get a spare a.s.a.p cheap there talking £400 for one eeekkk

Who's "they". Hobby? What year the 'van? What make the transformer?

I've just looked at mine, (2004) and the converter (model 240/1), although no name on it, looks remarkably similar to the current Dometic 240/8, although mine has 3 12v fuses and the other has only 2. Worth giving Dometic UK a ring (0844 626 0133).

Whatever, probably won't be cheap - Hobby spares are as rare as rocking horse sh1t in the UK.

Hi del mines must be same as yours 3 fuses but it's a sealed unit out put 450 watt phoned place in Annan they quoted me £400 yeah ur rite there hobby spares are unreal I bought caravan got to inverness to find no table phoned the person got worse words so just left it. And tonite my spring has broke on xtrail it can only get better lol.
