Hi,Just got van out of storage,connected water pump up to clean the system out,nothing when turning taps on,althrough the light is on the pump switch inside,any suggestions.

Also any one recommend a good Caravan repair company,in and around the Tamworth area,i have damp at the rear of the van,it looks like a awning channel removel and replacment,but it looks as though its bubbled a couple of the panels inside at the top,only 4 years old,wouldnt expect that would you at that age.

It may be the impeller at the bottom of the water pump is seized - if you remove the grid thing (grit filter) at the bottom of the pump (the end that goes into the aquaroll) you can access the impeller, gently try to release it by turning with a small screwdriver or similar - if completely seized then you may need a new pump (not too difficult to replace, just a bit fiddly & expensive)

As for the damp, at 4 years old, it should still be covered by the manufacturers warranty as long as the services have all been carried out by an authorised workshop - if you bought secondhand, it may also be a requirement that you transferred the remaining warranty into your name for it to be active for the whole term of the warranty (which is generally 5+ years).  If the warranty is still valid, then it (usually) needs to go back to the supplying dealership for investigation.

After years of newish caravans, just got a 1982 sprite musketeer  gl 5 berth.  All 12v lights work but water pump not working at all. Are we missing something or is there a switch somewhere.  Would be so grateful fir your replies.
