Hi I have a Lunar Clubman 500-2 ant it has a thetford toilet fitted, the previous owner has fitted what looks like a doorbell to 2 green wires which appear to come from somewhere inside the toilet. If you press it nothing happens so I have no idea what it's there for?? Anyone have any idea?

It does sound like a retrofit/repaired flush push to be honest.
If so, the flush tank would need to have water in it and the battery charged too (would be a 12v pump if the assumption is right), and any 12v switch set to correct position for 12v circuits also.

There's chance however, that if this is for the pump and it doesn't work when testing, the pump impeller could have become stuck or at worst, failed altogether.

Let us know what you find out.

May also be for an extraction fan to create a negative pressure in the cassette and prevent the odour coming into the caravan - something like a diy version of the SOG unit.
