I am a member of the fixed it club and I have started a repair on a badly cracked shower tray. We never intended to use the shower, so I figured no harm in attempting a repair as if it doesn't work we definitely won't be using it. I've started to post pics of the repair on my blog and intend on completing the repair on Thursday this week so the completed job should be on the blog by the weekend. Just thought it might be of interest for anyone else considering doing something similar. I will of course update and advise how well the repair holds up. All in all it's cost me £40 so far for filler and paint.
Blog for cracked shower tray repair.

What I will say is when I had put the expanded foam in it raised the shower tray so the crack wasn't there, so I then scored the hair line crack to smooth in the gelcoat - so think that was the best product for me. However plastaid would be good for my shower head holder repair.

I think if the cause of the crack was fresh air below it then the foam was a good way to go,

Nice repair and pretty much the same approach I'd have gone with. Look forward to seeing the finished outcome.

Just a thought do you think i could use pastaid for my plastic sink in the toilet, its looking a bit stained, i have tried the rub the sink clean with no joy, also i would like the change the color of the sink from peach to white is this possible or not, thanks ged.
Dont think thats what its meant for,You can buy a spray paint for plastic baths in all colours.

In that case Jeff's suggestion may be best and might be cheaper than the paint I bought. Thanks re cakes, you job must have been a dream job, I am enjoying it but have a lot to learn.
