I did get a quote - Tuftekcoatings (man of many words)for a speedcoat covering approx £300 and couldn't justify that when we don't intend on using the shower, however for those with newer vans have heard this is an excellent product. So as we don't intend to use the shower thought I would give it a go with the covering from Fascinating Finishes and if it works bonus for £40. And have to say i'm very impressed with it and an easy DIY job. Really wanted to stop the creaking and cosmetically tidy it up and in that I have suceeded.

Thanks

Hi Guys,

Hope you are all doing well. Now I have the same issue as the OP and have already done the foam bit on my shower tray.

I have ordered some gelcoat filler after which my plan was to also put some fibreglass resin on top to completely seal it from water and then paint.

I have come across glass fibre filler made by the same manufacturer as gelcoat, so now am confused as to what I should try for the best result.

Anyone had any experience of using glass fibre filler?

Thanks

Hi there.

I'm preparing to do the same job on my shower tray and I'm looking for the white paint.

Did you buy the repair kit from Fascinating Finishes (with the cream paint) and also a separate tin of anti-slip white paint, or did Fascinating Finishes replace the cream paint with a tin of white paint?

How much expanding foam did you need?

Many thanks.

Hi there, they do the paints in a number of colours and finishes. I used two small expanding foam cans.
