Hi guys, we have just managed to get an Abi caravan for £100, you'd think it would be a wreck but it's not :) only problem is on the Zig unit
one of the small grey plastic fuse holder is missing, ive tried local caravan place and ebay with no sucess :-( does anyone have one or able to point myself in the right direction please

Oh and should say no water is coming through, i guess that with being laid up for 2 years the best place to start would be a new water pump ?

Thanks

Zig Fuse holders   http://www.leisureshopdirect.com/caravan/electric/product_38900/zig_fuse_holder_for_20mm_glass_fuse.aspx http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/CARAVAN-MOTORHOME-BOAT-ABI-ZIG-12V-ELECTRIC-BOARD-FUSE-SWITCH-BOX-POWER-CONTROL-/151049138411

As for the water...firstly, I'm assuming that the 12v system works ok? The fuse you seem to be missing could be for the pump, in which case, sort this first. If ok, then you should check that power is getting to the pump (multimeter to the connection point) If it is, then check the impeller in the bottom of the pump isn't seized (gently prize off the bottom of the pump & try to turn it with a small screwdriver)- if free, (or you loosen it) then it should work?? Check the hose connections on the pump, as they can become loose when put in the aquaroll (ours did).

May be you need a new pump (or secondhand) so will need to know what water system you have so we can help identify the pump you need.

I am in no way an expert, but these are the first things I would be checking. I'm sure someone else with more experience & knowledge will be able to guide you much better!

Give these guys a ring www.caravanbreakers.net & tell them exactly which Zig unit you have, & they should be able to sort out a fuse holder that will fit it. They are very helpful & open until 3pm tomorrow (Saturday).

The other thing with the water system - is it a microswitch type? Have you tried all of the taps? Sometimes the microswitches fail on some taps, so no water will come out of them, but you can just turn another tap until it clicks & you will get water.

Definitely get the zig sorted first!!
Best of luckwww.caravanbreakers.net
