Hi all. A while ago I read a thread where members had posted whether their caravans cupboards and internal fitting had been fitted during construction of the frame and where others had said that their cupboards etc were screwed in from the inside once the shell was built.

I would like to start a topic which will eventually become a comprehensive list for the repair forums. The reason being that vans that were built by stapling cupboards etc in place from the outside are difficult to remove and make damp repairs more difficult and time consuming than those that are assembled from the inside.

Could members of this forum please respond by stating the make, model and date of manufacture and then state whether their cupboards and internal fittings are externally stapled in place or whether they are screwed in from the inside.

This info can then be used to guide what kind of caravan I / others would buy in future based upon this info. If there is such a list then I would appreciate someone sharing the link as I have searched for this and not found any info.

Caravans that I know about already:
1991 Swift Danette 5 berth    : Externally stapled
1992 Compass 430/4 berth. : Externally stapled
1994 Avondale Argos 5 berth : Externally stapled

Elddis super sirocco.2012, screwed in from inside.
My swift conqueror 645 i owned the inside was all screwed before the panels were fitted to the floor.so I guess it is screwed from the inside if you will.

Hi. Could anyone please tell me if the Elddis Typhoon or Sterling Eccles Emerald, years models 2000 onwards has cupboards and fixtures that internally or externally fitted. Thanks.
