Hi all, We bought this hurricane 1199XL 18 months ago. long story short.. the corners have gone we have been informed by the fella who came to look at it. We have no idea how bad it is yet. My hubby fixed the overun hitch which we discovered was siezed after coming back off a dreadful first time trip in it.
This van maybe old but it looks nice and sturdy. We have been quoted £175 a corner but am not sure how many are affected by damp. It doesn't seem to smell much.. What I want to know is, is there a manual for repairing the XL van we have. I have seen one on ebay but don't know wether it's for caravans in general.. This work is too expensive for us to pay for it to be done.. I hope you can help.. thank you

If it looks o.k and doesn't,t smell ,don,t get spooked by someone who is probably looking to make easy money ,most vans of that age will have some damp problems ,but will still be useable for quiet a few years .
Do not go ripping it apart for no reason use it ,enjoy it and invest in a good cover for the winter

Thank you both. I will take a look at fixed it. And we bought a cover with breathing holes? for the winter last year. When we went to take it off it was covered with mouldew underneath so the jury is still thinking on that one. thank you once again.. Chris
