We have a Bailey Ranger 470/4 2006. There is a curtain rail fixed to the ceiling which goes around the bunk bed. Now as there is nowhere to stow the curtain yours truly has managed to sit on it twice and pop a couple of fixings from the ceiling! The ceiling looks thin with a rigid polystyrene insulation behind it. On inspection the previous owners have attempted repair the same thing too.
Does anyone have any tips on a diy repair as there is just a hole at the moment. I think maybe filling with expanding foam and popping a small plug in before it sets. What do you think?
We are fairly new to caravanning but are totally hooked now!
Hi
Thanks for the response. The end hole has ended up slightly larger due to the previous owners attempted repair with a wallboard plug. Plus the ceiling board is something very thin - 2 or 3mm so I am worried I will just make it worse. I will have a look in a DIY store to see what they have. Just wondered if there was a clever get around from experience.
What is a fastener centre? I will have to google that!
