Some hot water tanks that were installed in the Genius model were just operated by means of gas only with some that had a function that could be also operated by electric too. Those that operate by electric have a small reset button at the end of the tank plus there should be an emersion switch located somewhere in the caravan to switch the hot water on. I think it was the Mirage which was the basic model that only be heated by gas operation only. The tank needs to be filled up first via the water pump and then open the taps to let out any air when the system is full. If the pump doesn't operate then maybe the pressure switch needs adjusting which will be located under the front right hand seat.

If when you come to operate the hot water by gas the green light should illuminate. If the amber light illuminates then I think it's a problem with the ignitor itself as there could be air in the gas pipe. If this happens then just light the burners on the cooker to get the gas flowing to elimimate any air in the gas pipes. If you operate it by means of electric power, when you switch the emersion switch on the red light should illuminate, if it doesn't then it probably just needs re-setting at the hot water tank. The reset button is located at the end of the round tank where there should be a small box at the top or bottom (can't remember which) and you will find a small red button. Press that in and you should hear a click which activates the electrical current to the tank. Switch on the emersion heater at the switch and the light should illuminate to show that the heater is working.
