Hi guys , sorry I haven't updated in a few days had a few family probs and no time to spend on DOTTY.
That's right I've named her . Anyways I had a present in the post today .
My new stapler was only a cheap on but will help when I put it all back together. I'm still waiting on my saw though .
So I stripped out some more rotten wood
And started to rebuild but waiting on my saw so slow going .
So I got a bit bored and decided to take more of the rails and trims off
No sealent at all . Looks like I've clean it but I haven't lol.
After taking down that rail which was very east I saw some more rusted staples on the top trim :( . Maybe I should cut my losses would be easier.
So I start to remove this trim bit its hard and starting to bend so when my new saw comes I'm going to chop it in half . That's way I can take it off single handed and then tiger seal it all up . Well that's the plan , wha the hell have I got myself into.
My new job has now come forward to Monday so I'll try my best to keep you updated :-) .

Also lunarvenus , if you are doing yours soon . Wicked have a good deal on 3.6 mm ply at the moment 1.2 metered by 600mm. For a fiver a sheet . I'm going to wait and see what my old man can find for me lying around he's a builder :-)
I will check this out and buy some straight away, thanks.
Personally I would of just bought a cheap jig saw for cutting the wood.
It would be good for cutting back the existing wall board to where you want to stop removing wood etc. A good Stanley knife would also do the same job mind.
I think you can get cheap jig saws for about 10-15 quid.
I got a jigsaw . But I just can't get on with it . I'll try it is its rubbish can go back :-). Plus should be good for the laminate I'm going to put down .
And the tiles ( in my house ) when I'm done here :-)
Each to their own when it comes to tools, I have a good selection of tools, carpentry, machanical, all types of building tools etc etc. I got a workshop full of them yet there is always another tool for another job which one prefers to another.
Good luck with it anyway.
Can't wait to see pics of it going back together.
froggyribbit - you are doing a fantastic job. Job satisfaction will be the key to success. I really like the pics of the progress and will be following with interest.
Well done!
