First time away in our caravan. First day and night fine. Tonight buzzing sound then no water. Then we had water now we dont. Its not the pump because another kind caravanner has put their pump in and nothing no pulling sound anything. Its not fuses either. Any ideas before we have to go home early and spend a fortune at a repair place.
Can't help with the pump but just use a small water container to use as a temporary measure rather than cut short your holiday.
If you use the toilet just pour water down when finished, it does the same job.

When you turn the tap on, is the pump light coming on? If not it may be a micro switch that's gone in the tap? I'm far from a caravan techie so if I've suggested something completely stupid please don't laugh. Just an idea as it happened to us
Another thing it could be if the pump is running but no water, is the pressure switch where the water comes in. May need adjusting, easy to do really, I did it this last week as we had symptoms very similar to yours.
Like I say, don't all jump on me, just trying to help
Sorry just re read your post, no pulling sounds or anything. Could be a micro switch, like vango man says, don't cut short your holiday........ Do it the tenting way
It could help if you posted your van details as we could take a punt on the type of water system you're likely to have; switched or pressurised. I would agree with others though at the moment that this could be micro-switch problem, but would be suprised for it to effect hot and cold flow.
If you have a sink in a washroom, I assume you've tried all taps? Perhaps double check fuses too.
When you refer to ".. buzzing sound", was this from pump or possible electrical noise from the tap?
Thanks everyone for quick replies. We have a bailey ranger 240. The taps in bathroom dont work either. Realised that one of the fuses had gone andhave changed that. Just checking the fuses again as it seems it may have blown again - grrrrr
The micro-switch will possibly not be relevant in a Ranger, but it's a very small miniature switch that fits beneath the tap and is used to control the on/off of the tap. It's an older system now, so may not be used on your van - what age is the Ranger?
If you have fuses that keep blowing, maybe your pump is duff. Can you turn the impeller, which is the blade type thing in the bottom of the pump. Might need a small screwdriver to try and turn it through the slots in the bottom of the pump.
sounds like the pump has burned out.this can blow a fuse as soon as you try to use it.
did it run out of water because this can burn out a pump quickly ?
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
The lady said she tried another pump and no joy.Strange.
I think Bailey use pressure switches,(mine does) they can be adjusted-details are in handbook.
I agree that it could be a pump fault if a fuse keeps going-something is drawing too much current.Short cct somewhere is another option-damaged cable or connection.
