Hi Susy, there may well be a fuse blown on the printed circuit control board, it happened to me once.
It's accessed by taking the plastic cover off of the top of the hot water tank, you should see it down one side. Do make sure the mains electric supply is disconnected (although I think the fuse is on the 12 volt side.) From memory it's a 20 mm glass fuse about 500 or 600 milliamps. Good luck.
