I used the water heater on gas last trip out and all was fine. This trip out I have no light come on either green, or red! I have checked the 12v fuse and all good there. I've done a visual check of wiring both at the thermostat and the heater end and nothing obvious there.
I have seen a post somewhere on the net where trying to fine the wiring diagram for the heater that there is a micro fuse on the heater itself, is that so?or can anyone tell me anything else to look for please.
In anticipation, Thanks
Stu

The 12v power source to the switch is separate from the heater and varies from van to van as to where it is sourced. On my current van it is sourced from the Aux circuit but on previous vans I have found it spliced into the pump wiring and on another the spliced into the toilet flush wiring. I would recheck all connections and fuses are good and don't forget the multiplug at the heater.
Good Luck

It could be the fuse on the PCB (printed circuit board) which is inside the grey plastic cover which goes over the water heater.  It is a glass fuse cant remember ampage, we replaced ours with one we got from maplin (also bought a spare in case it goes again)  Just go careful with greasy fingers around PCB.  It cost us pence to fix but thought it was worth a shot before calling in an engineer to condemn the whole board!!!  Replaced this fuse 4 years ago and not a problem since.

Regards Janette
