It could be the fuse on the PCB (printed circuit board) which is inside the grey plastic cover which goes over the water heater. It is a glass fuse cant remember ampage, we replaced ours with one we got from maplin (also bought a spare in case it goes again) Just go careful with greasy fingers around PCB. It cost us pence to fix but thought it was worth a shot before calling in an engineer to condemn the whole board!!! Replaced this fuse 4 years ago and not a problem since. Regards Janette
