hi, i have just returned from a weekend away. while there we had our caravan on ehu, that evening i was using electric fine. the next morning we had no lights or pump, but did have electric to sockets and fridge on 240v. we changed fuses, although they looked fine, then we put jump leads from car to battery, this gave us slight power to battery. can someone please tell me does ehu not charge battery as it goes ? thanks
You don't give any details of your van, which would be helpful.
Battery should charge off the EHU so you need to check if charger operating (as suggested above, need to obtain a meter to check).
Check also if there's a seperate mains switch on the charger and possibility of loose mains connector to charger too (some use a three pin 'kettle' type lead which can work loose).
Loose terminals at battery could impact this problem too.
