Just thought I would share my absolute delight and praise from the OH following my success over the weekend.
We have recently purchased our first, new to us, caravan, a Coachman Pastiche 2003 model.
It is in fantastic condition inside and out, but one of the little things letting her down was a few odd blobs on the black out blind part of the Heki roof vent/light. I suspect some insect was walking along the top of it when it got retracted which then squashed its bodily fluids through the material sticking it together. Hence when pulled across left 3 blobs of now expired insect.
£68 for a new black out roller, just could not justify it!.
Ikea black out blind in white £10, twice as long as needed, cut down blind to correct size, throw all other Ikea parts away, remove Heki blind material, fit Ikea material, fit Heki pull bar and roller, tension spring, refit, et viola!
Works perfect, only a tenner, enough material left to do again if needed, black outs perfectly, and one very happy OH.
I am in the good books!!!
