What is the best for cleaning /polishing plastic window. I saw a product on Ebay called RENOVO but they were asking £3.00 for a 30 mm bottle which I thought seemed a bit steep? My windows are smoked and very slightly scratched as if rubbed wih a harsh cloth.

Hi Nigel it is item no FW3 - Fenwick's Windowize Scratch remover for plastic/acrylic windows from Towsure 50ml tube
Does a great job on very very mild surface scratches, but if there is a lot off scratches from cleaning the windows while very dirty (ie a lot off small scratches in a circular formation) be prepared for a lot off elbow greese to go with it......Took me a good half hour per window with a soft cotton cloth to apply and then a clean one to polish off, gowing over each window in small stagesf.......remember to use in a circular motion as you apply it and remove it.........Its worked Ok on my windows but could deffo do with another going over...........at £4.00 a tube its not cheep but does work.......eventually
There i actualy said a Fenwicks product works :p
Other folk have said that Brasso works well on plastic windows but i thought it may be a bit too abrasive....so didnt try it......Windowize works but as i say....be prepared for a lot off polishing if u want good results.
Lol Baggy, would agree with not using Brasso as well, does a lovely job on an old trumpet or candlesticks but too abrasive on plastics, I tried several different brands on a sheet of acrylic which I ran a piece of sandpaper over first, Fenwick's came out tops, ok its around £4-5 tube but at the end of the day it does the job and is a lot cheaper than getting a new window made. Haven't used it on our vans windows, we have glass ones in the old girl! Vinegar and water! Don't tell Old man Fenwick though, !
hi all,i use fenwicks windowize the results are very good.may need a bucket full when i get my windows back as the cover is scratching the side windows badly.tried all sorts to stop it.last resort was cling film.this could cause craze.
------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
Thanks guys, looks like Fenwicks wins hands down. I don't mind paying that bit more for a product which 'does what it says on the tin', but I hate being ripped off. I guess most people think the same.
