hi all when we was away earlier this year we wanted to dry our towels which sometime takes for ever I see you can get a 240 volt electric towel rail to use in a caravan.Has any body used one of these in there caravan what are they like your views would be appreciated.
A good friend of mine has done just that.
He has fitted a standard mains powered towel rail to the rear end shower room wall of their 2009 luner lexon caravan.
He is competent with electrics and it looks like standard factory fitment and works well.
I fitted one on the end of the seating area by the doorway. It is very good and low wattage so can be left on when van is in use. Ours is a very lightweight caravan one. Cost about £25.
There is a good account of fitting one here I was going to follow suit but that particular 230v towel rail was out of stock and by the time it was back in we had changed to a motorhome.
hi David thanks for the post just what I am looking for funny though there out of stock again great link to see how its fitted will take note of there phone number and see when they will have more available.
I use a free standing one like this. and would recommend one that is portable so it can be used anywhere of your choice. just keep it away from any running water.
