he won't you know! it's January, I'm shut and that phones switched off! I have got one here that's switched on, but even I don't know the number and anyway you won't like the cost!!

Quick check list to be going on with
1 is the green light on on the control switch?
if not, either 240v is not reaching the heater or the control boards caput.
2, if it is lit, can you hear relays clicking when you change wattage settings?
If not control board fault or see 3, if you can, control board fault.
3, maybe not relevant as you appear to have had van a while, but position of control switch or remote temperature thermostat, if fitted, can seriously affect correct operation of heater
PS don't go running out buying new, much better deal to be had from me
