Hi everyone, I am contemplating replacing the rear lower outer panel due to a couple of cracks that have appeared, I have tried repairing them but because I can't get to the back of the cracks it's been a bit futile and as I have been able to purchase a new panel at a reasonable price I thought go for it. All I need now is some advice on fitting it, I am ok with removing the awning rail and it's only screws and sealer at the bottom, it's the joint between the lower panel and middle panel that concerns me as to what i might encounter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

hi hallyboy if you only want enough to do the rear join between back panel and your new panel I have seen it for sale on ebay the company I got it from is called silmid group if you google them they should come up they are a company that specialise in sealants and glues the only thing you have to buy a minimum of 12 tubes they are the only place I found to get it I needed a lot as I have done the whole caravan so far I have used around 30 tubes
don't for get when you fix your nice shiny new panel drill a pilot hole where your fixings are going to be or it will split when I first started the resealing i bought it from a caravan dealer it was £12.50 a tube that's when i googled the product and found them they do it for £5.80 i think that's what it was half the price happy days.

Hi Redheads. Thanks again for the information and I have taken in what you have said, one more thing, is there any insulation or anything that I should consider replacing whilst I've got the panel off ?
Thanks again john

hi john the only thing you could change is the mastic tape on the under side of the floor not sure if there is any insulation behind the panel i know there is behind the top half you will have to let me know on that one as i haven't removed mine another thing when you have got your old one off and all edges are cleaned of do a few trial fittings you may have to trim the edges a little remember don't force it take your time.
