Somewhere there will be cables going from the Zig / charger into the battery compartment so it can charge the battery as Jasie has mentioned you should be able to test the battery using these cables.
A good battery (fully charged ) without the charger on should give about 12.25 to 12.65 Volts when measured with a multimeter. Turning the charger/zig on should see this increase to around 13 to 13.8V or therabouts depending on the charger.
No increase measured = check the charger / inline fuses etc
Battery reading less than 12.25V then possibly the battery but would suggest charging first with a car charger just to make sure.
Do not use both the caravan charger and a car battery charger at the same time.
If you are able to identify the two battery cables but not disconnect them from the Vans charger / zig then they can be cut and reconnected using 30A Chocolate block connectors or similar. The cables will normally be much thicker than the rest of the Vans wiring but make sure that you are looking at the right ones going to the zig and not ones that may be going to the motor mover.
Hope this helps?
------------- Best wishes
