Hi
We have recently purchased a 2006 swift and would like to know what's the best product to revive the front of the van as its looking rather dull! I believe it's gone like this due to sun exposure and age. I've tried silky which I found was a great product, but it didn't revive it, and still looks dull!
Many thanks
Kostas

Might be worth giving these people a call.

I have not used them myself, but have heard some very good reports on what they can achieve with caravan bodywork.

You have to use a cutting compound to bring back the shine, silky is only meant for washing it.You can get a stuff called "G 3 "from halfords or good car shops which will cut it or "T cut"both are hard work with the hand and better applied with a machine Click

Cutting compound will do it but it's damn hard work by hand a a machine operated polisher (mop) should not be used by an amateur on a caravan as you'll rip the windows and any other fittings off in no time.

A proficcient detailer should charge more than 2hrs labour to do the front of a van.

What has happened to your van is called oxidation and as previous posters have said can be removed using a cutting compound. I would not let any old detailer or valeter loose on my van, they may well be proficient on cars but caravans are completely different. Best go with someone who knows what they are doing and contact tourershine as your are too far away for me
