Good morning or afternoon, I was wondering if anyone can help. I have no hot water running from the kitchen tap or the bathroom tap in my van. I have changed both of the non reverse valves, I can hear the pump running when I turn the taps on and the hot water tank fills with water. Before I take it in I was wondering if there was something I am missing?
Thanks

Is it priming the water heater? My heater holds approx 9 litres and add all the pipework also its a fair bit of water before it starts to come from the tap.
Pumps are not designed to be run for that long also. So to protect mine i usually only run them for a minute or so at a time.
Have yoiu give the heater enough time to prime fully?
Priming the water means to get rid of any air in the system first so that just water remains in the pipes. If you have air in the hot water tank it will gurgle as it pushes the air through but that's normal. What the priming is doing is pushing the air out and replacing it with 100% water so you need to try this first and then your hot water system should operate when you turn on a hot water tap. The cold water doesn't have a tank but the hot water does so it takes a lot longer to fill the hot water tank and pipes. Hope this helps.
Had lots of gurgling but still nothing coming out taps! There has been a slight leak from the stopper on the outside of the hot tank, would that make a difference? Or is it time for a dealer to check it out?

There HAS been a slight leak or there still IS?
If there's still a leak then that could be part of the of the problem because it's failing to build up the pressure in the hot water system. The system needs to be pressurised to expel the air and also for the pressure switch or micro-switches to activate. If the non return valve has been changed recently then the thread probably isn't sealing properly as I think it's a tapered thread to which it needs to be removed, wrap some PTFE tape round the thread and then re-fit again and see if that fixes it. If that fails then you probably need professional advice.
You may not have left it long enough to get all the air out.
The heater itself will hold approx 9 litres of water. + more for all the pipes and filter etc.
How much water are you pumping through?
Oneway valve maybe stuck.
1st job when setting up for me. Get the water on. BEFORE plugging the mains in.
If you switch the heater on with no water it can trip out or blow the fuse.
Depends on which heater you have. Luckily mine has a reset button. But i think some of them need a fuse soldered in if you blow them.
Is it a genuine pump or a cheaper less powerful one?
Mate had a cheapy orange pump and the water barely made it to the taps.
