Hi We are currently in the process of resealing our awning rail (damp readings showing up front and rear) The awning rail is in 2 halfs so we started with the front 1. Removed rubber insert - this was sealed in with some sort of mastic so was quite hard to pull out- is this normal - do we need to seal in the replacement we have bought? 2. We removed all the screws - no rusty ones at all (in fact they look like they could be SS) - we then removed the rail - this was an absolute nightmare to remove - there was MASSES of sealant on there - Any helpful tips for removing the rear rail as this took nearly an entire day! (We used a hair driver to warm the mastic, then some strog twine to slide underneath) 3. I have managed to source replacement rubber insert but am struggling to find the rubber that goes along both edges of the rail - any ideas? 4. As a final not related to the rail question - we resealed our fridge vents last week and the lower vent had no sealant on at all when we removed it - Is this normal? We had damp under here and we were not sure if it was the vent or the wheel arch - can we safely assume that it was the fridge vent and leave the wheel arch well alone) Thanks in advance Amy
