Hi to all.
Front window frames and plywood surround need replacing in our 1999 Elddis Whirlwind encounter 380/2.
I have read through numerous forum replies from other members with similar issues. The most similar caravan to ours was a detailed repair to a Firestorm 2000 model.Unlike the Firestorm I believe the top batten is in need of replacement. Caradads, Steves repairs the Wizard have all been a wealth of info. I'm stuck on removing the bottom and top shelf. I have removed the alloy sheet, stapled to above the front locker, the window seals and most of the damaged timber frame. Top and bottom of frame seems to be above and below the two shelves.
Before I start with trying to cut thru screws with flexible blades ect, is it feasible or possible to remove the front ABS panel. This same panel has pulled free about 20mm from the top sides where it fits into the sheet alloy at the awning rail, about 200mm down from the top sealing strip between the ABS and the alloy roof. Thanks in advance for any assistance with my repairs, Regards David and Carol
