They may have been an aftermarket fit and sound like they may even have been for a car as there are 4 of them, normally you only need one on each wheel.
As Mister G says, Bailey had special ones that they fitted around that time but as far as I'm aware they weren't locking types. No adapter for them in a drawer or cupboard somewhere?
