The advice on this forum is 150 times better than others I have frequented so I'm here for a bit more help if ok!
Few spongy patches in corners of caravan ( very small patches 1 foot square sorta sized) resulted from a leaky awning rail. Fixed awning rail now no more water getting in but my question is this....
I am reluctant to change the panels as of now as they aren't too bad(don't fix what isn't broken and all that). I have 3 1 inch mini vents, 8
dehumidifuer water traps (b and q ones) and several other heating tools
what would be the best way to Slow down if not semi dry out the panels?
They are obviously degraded but not black/mouldy.
changing the wall boards are the long term fix but not just yet on my budget.
good news is just bought the van off friend and EveRYTHING WORKS including the water heater first time he he.....
I was told by a caravan repair company to always dry out damp by using cold air and not warm air. If you use warm air it will force the damp further into the wood.
As I said this is just something I was told and I have no idea if it is true or not !
