Hi can someone help please, my fridge is a Thetford N3000A series and will not run on 12v when coupled to the car, The panel keeps flashing error code 6. Works fine on gas and 240v. Checked the 12v fuse all ok.

Is the car engine running more than tick-over when you are trying to use it? It's because the 12 volt heater draws so much current there is usually a little relay in the car's fridge supply circuit that prevents it kicking in untill there is enough juice from the alternator to cope. It would drain the car battery very quickly if it was a straight supply to it.

Also, Thetford Error 6 says it's sensing gas output terminal is ON when it should be OFF (if that makes any sense to you guys)

No problem, I've been looking more in depth at the fridge error fault codes and have found a listing as a PDF file, you can see them at this link .

Error fault code 6 is looking like the gas tap may be on or a replacement (and no doubt costly) PCB, lets hope not.
