Some years ago we did a damp repair however in certain areas of the exterior wall it has come away from the sandwich, dont ask me why we used pu to stick the frame and insulation but im assuming the pink inner coating on the aluminium has prevented it sticking properly on certain areas,
Now I dont really want to take the internal wall down again in order to stick this, has anyone ever repaired this from the outside? im assuming if you get a liquid contact adhesive and inject it from outside it should do the job and prevent a lot of hard work, has anybody ever done it?
Thanks
If you mean the aluminum can be pushed in & out slightly, this is normal on older caravans & motorhomes. Just leave it, it don't matter & the last thing you want to be doing is drilling holes in the outer skin which is what you would need to do to inject in glue.
I would suggest it isnt normal to that extent, Heres what repair we did
it is starting to look uneven on the outside after a couple of years so has obviously come away from the polystyrene sandwich in places
It is done from the inside not the outside. The correct glue ( i can not remember the name ) is injected through the internal walls and into the bubbled space, then pressure is applied to both sides ( the suggested way used to be a flat piece of wood onto the aluminium pressed against the exterior wall by another pole or similar that is held in place by pressure on another fixed wall. With a similar arrangement inside. Then left to cure and the result is a very strong sandwich.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
