Hi, we have a 2000 Avondale 550/4 and the floor in front of the cooker and fridge seems to drop slightly and I don't know if it has been caused by delamination? It does feel springy when you stand on it but Hubby thinks it's just wear on that particular area of the flooring.

Is there any other way I can check if this has happened, we have laminate flooring down so I would need to peel that back to have a look.

Many thanks in advance.

Spring floor is probably delamination. If its sunken check underneath to make sure there is no rot.

Thanks, we looked underneath the caravan at the end of last year when we were having the mover fitted and the flooring looked good so guessing we have delamination.

Is your van fitted with shock absorbers this sometimes make floor feel springy by  wheel arches were cooker and fridge are usually located on most vans, If not you will have to lift laminate flooring to check and repair How does laminite flooring effect you MPTLM you will have to reduce your personal effects about 35 kgs with motor mover fitted. On my last van our personal effects was reduced from 190 kgs to155kgs and my mrs was not best pleased. The motor mover was also fitted after the single axle to reduce effect on nose weight,I didn,t notice any difference when towing. though I have seen single axle vans fitted with movers before or after the wheels I wonder which is correct ????

Sorry, meant we have vinyl flooring down that looks like laminate! Doh, blond moment

Our mover was fitted in front of the axel (if you look from the front), good job we had it as at the weekend we were at a sight in Hastings and without the mover we wouldn't have got on the pitch as it has such tight roads with barely anywhere to manoeuvre the car and van.

The place that usually suffers the most from delamination in any van is in front of the cooker and sink.

You can test this by taking your shoes off and putting your feet side by side.Taking small steps to the right or left you will feel the floor going from hard to soft as the floor sinks into a hole.

Jeff, thank you so much. You have described exactly what happens and it is around the sink/cooker area
