help, away at weekend at bike show, no electric hook up and of all times fridge wouldn't work on gas?
tried new gas bottle, there is a spark but just doesn't fire up?
any ideas where we are going wrong or just call the gas man out?
live in the knowsley area in Liverpool, if anyone can recommend someone to have a look
thankyou
Could be worth checking the jet is clear.
This is a small brass bonnet with a tiny hole in it in the burner assy.
They are prone to dead spiders and rust falling onto them and blocking partially.
Have cleaned them before with carburetor cleaner and cotton buds.
Silly, I know, but is the gas tap to the fridge turned on?
There are often a bank of 3, 1 for the cooker, 1 for the water heater and 1 for the fridge maybe under the sink.
Also if the fridge hasn't been used on gas for a long time, the gas will take quite a long time to come through.
Failing that it looks like the gasman.
