My mover stopped working, the X spider coupling between the motor and the right angle worm gearbox has broken. Anyone got a scrap motor gearbox assembly I can rob a coupling from? Or know where I can get one? Powrtouch only supply complete assemblies...
I have the same problem,it seems ridiculous to need to replace the whole motor/gearbox for £150.
just found this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/323300828377?format=1&hlpv=1&cond=1&clk_rvr_id=1592404391240&rmvSB=true
Still expensive just for the coupler.
Looking down the info it says they sell the couplers seperately

Hi saxo1 .would be interested to know if the replacement couplings did the trick as I have same issue however I'm thinking why would it disintegrate in the first place it's possible it's a crap batch of couplings or the gear box has an issue hence the first thing to go innthe train is the coupling.

It works OK since I fitted it but I haven't used it much since.Mine failed when I was trying to move the van out of some deep ruts,it could possibly be designed to fail as the weak link if the mover is over-stressed but it is not a very good design.

Turned out the mover was still under the 5 year warranty, so PowrTouch supplied a complete motor/gearbox assembly FOC. And saxo1 your right it is probably a mechanical 'fuse' by design.
The new coupling cost £30 and it doesn't involve much more work to change it,as opposed to £150 for new gearbox from Powerplus.
I stripped mine down and there is nothing wrong with the gearbox
