Looks terrible doesn't it? A new handle is just less than £20 on e-bay, not a lot more than tins of primer and paint. Just needs covered when youu're not using it to stop it fading.
The only problem then is the faded handbrake lever and jockey wheel handle. It's never ending.
when in BOYES shop, i spotted some airosol spray paint that looks very close to the Al-KO hitch original colour.
So I took a punt.
cleaned the said hitch with a rag with some thinners on it,
(also bought from BOYES £2.90 ish!)
then after masking surrounding paintwork i simply sprayed it.... 1st coat, what a difference!
so leaving a canny while I gave it a couple more coats, and i must say at this stage i'm well pleased with the results.
The paint I used is: RUST-OLEUM
CRAFT & HOBBY
ENAMEL in "Balmoral"
I did thik that the paint might of stayed sticky, but no it has dried thankfully.
Now i need an A frame cover to protect it from the sun.
