Hi, I am new to the forum and have joined in desperation to solve my problem.
I have a 1997 elddis vogue slipstream. Last week whilst away I unclipped the blue water pump/filter tube from the housing on the side of the van. The top clip that holds it in place snapped off. I have sourced some new ones made by trauma but they are not the same shape, they are shaped in an L shape, my old clip is shaped like an F .
I have phonned everywhere to try and get a replacement, to be told they are not made any more. Ove tried breakers, dealers etc with no luck !
Thanks for that Jeff, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do that with the expense but I will look into it.
I'm a bit shocked how difficult it is to get older caravan parts, there must be thousands on 1997 vans on the road.
I will try one more time to source the clip and if it's negative I'll do your suggestion.
Have you any idea how much this would cost to do ?
Havent a clue about the unit but a new pump will cost around £40/45..
There are a few breakers up here near Loch Lomond i will go see if i can give you some numbers. They may want you to buy the full unit least it would be cheaper..

Its not easy getting new caravan parts.Or should i say newer van parts. There are so many variations of parts it seems impossible.Where possible scrap the old and re-fit something newer.
