Hi I took my carvan out for the first last weekend.every thing was fine untill the water pump stop working(carver submersible).During the week i went and got a new one but no go.I have 12.6v for the socket out side the van and that switches on and off with the taps.I tried the old pump to the battery conections and it worked. I clean the elec.connectors with a worn bit of emery cloth but still the pump did not work.Can any body help or give me some idea wath else to try.

My pump stopped working this weekend just after my wife had used it.

I went and waggled the pump connecter in the socket and it kicked in again.

The aquaroll was on a raised tuft of grass which made the pumplead go sharply uphill from its connection with the caravan and I think it was straining at its contact point, if that makes any sense.

We didn`t have anymore trouble after that.

Try connecting the pump direct to the battery with some wires and see if it works , don't run it for more than a second or to though , because they should normally be running when they're in the water container .

If it works then you just have a connection problem at the socket .

Thank you all for your help.Myproblem turned out to be to be a broken wire.So the 12v system was braking down when a load (pump)was turned on.
