I have just bought a 98 pop top with Electrolux 4100 3 way fridge. I seem to be jinxed with fridges !! my last motorhome & caravan before that all had gas problems ... So here I go again ..only this time I am no longer married to a mechanic . ( my new one is an electrician ! )
It works fine on electric but when I try and light it on gas there is no spark or anything in the little spyhole window .
I have levelled caravan. Checked & pulled through gas to hob etc. Checked vent pipe at back of outside cover.
I have just contacted previous owners and they have used it on gas once but a while ago.
Is it a case of removing it and cleaning up relevant burners & checking for corrosion on thermocouple?
Paid enough for van so reluctant to have to pay out if I cab sort myself by cleaning.
Any advice welcome.   Thanks

Most systems have a gas tap in line somewhere. It's not turned off, is it?

Hi, try turning knob to ignition position, then pull off plastic knob. hold in brass spindle whilst working the ignitor. but first light a hob to make sure gas is through.

A few possible things it could be, is the fridge automatic ignition or Manual? If possible remove the bottom fridge vent and get some one to try lighting the fridge and look to see if you can see behind the housing ( bottom right hand side of fridge from behind) as to if it is sparking and try lighting it from behind with a match/ lighter if you can get in there. But remember to be careful if you try that way. Least that will show you if the burner and jet are clear first.
