 HI Everyone,

thought I let you know how things are going.  Just had a really productive weekend.

Got all of the front part of the van frame replaced.  It went extremely well (never lost my temper and no swearing!!!!) and now is like new again.  As an extra precaution I have painted (?) the new woodwork with yacht varnish.  My expertise with the saw, hammer and no nails amazed even me.

Next job is to fit the new panelling, will go down the timber yard and get some of that flexible plywood for next weekend,

Then I have to fit my new window seal and a big thank you Phil Howard at Seals Direct for the very useful advice on fitting. Then window back in and it will be nearly finished (hmmm… sound very easy like that).

Oh yes when the panelling is in I will have to paper (?) it any advice on what’s best to use.  It would be nice to get the same as is in there now, is there I caravan paper catalogue?

Anyway, will keep you all updated.

Steve.

HI steve

I went down to B&Q and looked at their vinyl paper selection. fopund some very nice  papers their and got one to suit my caravan , I used PVA glue to stick the paper to the plywood and its all turned out a treat, see my website  for a blow by blow account on renotvating a caravan.
