Whats the diference between the inlet with the pressure switch and the one without , when would you use the one with the pressure switch and when would you need the one without,
Ive broken the flap on mine (its the one without the pressure switch) i was just going out to buy a replacement when i noticed they do both is ther any need to upgrade to the one with the pressure switch or does it not make much difference
You don't give any information on your van to this is an assumption based on experience.
The inlet with a built in pressure switch would be used in a pressurised water systems, where the pressure switch controls the switching of the pump and maintains a steady water pressure in the system.
The inlet type without would suggest you have a water system that's reliant on micro-switches attached to each tap to control the water pump.
Of course, you could even have a remote pressure switch that's integral to the pipework.
You can upgrade from micro-switched to pressured systems, but it aint as simple as just changing the water inlet.
Ahh thanks Paul, all my taps are microswitched so that explains what the difference is thanks
No gain on using the pressure switched version for me then
My caravan is a 1999 Sterling Elite Explorer its been stood unused for a few years until we bought it this year, now that we have started using it more regularly silly things have started breaking like water inlet flaps and taps etc
