Hello everybody, Tried out my new purchase the other week: Bailey Pageant CD Auvergne (1996). Love the van-everything works (except number plate light-see other post!) The awning sold with the van is a Bradcot Active-nearly new. I got to swearing before I found the sliding clips that fit on the piping and act as pads to which the tensioner pole hooks attach. Does anyone know why I can't replace them with standard fixings screwed to the side of the van in the relevant positions, like my Elddis used to have?
Ring Bradcot, there is a very nice man there who will explain, and send a diagram on how to refit these fittings.
Sorry - have reread your posting, I was talking about the clamps which hold the telescoping "easy" awning poles!
You can buy the screw on brackets for a few pence but why do you want to make holes in the side of your nice new caravan when you already have the pads??
