Hi all,
I have a 1999 Sterling Europa 450L which has had a damp problem which was left untreated by the previous owner resulting in me having to remove the wallboard, insulation and the rotten wood from the o/s/r corner, side wall and small area on the rear wall (water had been getting in through the poorly sealed awning rail which has now been removed and resealed). Now my problem is now I'm at the rebuild stage and all the wood is replaced I need to replace the insulation and wall board, but I cannot find the correct wall board any where. It is called Elgin P (so I've been told) and has been discontinued but there must be someone or some place out there that still has a couple of boards. The guy that sealed my awning rail (ex caravan repairer/servicer) has called numerous contacts on the hunt for the elusive Elgin P wallboard but to no avail. Does anybody out there know of where I can acquire 2 boards?
Many thanks in advance
I did about an hours search on it and could not find some one, could you not get some thing to a near enough match or,a different pattern that looks like thats the way its meant to be ?
I think that's the only way to go now Jeff. Thanks for taking the time to look for me. There are one or two close matches but as the new will but upto the old it will be noticeable. I don't fancy removing all the board on the rear just to take the close match into a corner. Ah well as long as it's all dry and good a slight pattern mismatch isn't the end of the world, just a shame really as Elgin P was a very popular board 15 years ago.
