Hi everyone,
Sorry if I missed something but I have an ABI Hallstar 4.50 ctl with a 10 didget alpha-numeric code on the van's plate. The numbers correspond with the serial number in the owners certificate but doesn't mention an age anywhere. The serial number is 150240M.
Thanks

I was informed by a dealer that if you look at code dot sprayed on your windows it will tell you the year of registration. This code should be the same as the vin code either in your front locker or on your chassis. BPW chassis also have an axle type plate which tells you brake sizes etc, also a overrun hitch type plate which gives day week month year of manufacture, as van manufactures do not carry chassis for more than one week/two in advance this will also give you your date.on foriegn vans the 13th &14th numbers give you year IE 06 = 2006 on British vans 11th &12th number gives year. You have to bear in mind that 2014 vans started manufacture in October 2013 ready for delivery to shows and dealer forecourts in Jan/ Feb 2014 MOST manufacturers produce one complete van per day of any given model. I hope this is some help in checking year of your van. Ps the dealer if buying will tell you it is October 2006 but if selling its the 2007 model check the windows and then tell him the year.

I was reading another post about the age of caravans and what the different parts of the VIN number actually mean and I clicked on a link to the caravan vin decoder site mentioned in the post above. I wasn't concerned about the age of our caravan but was interested to know what all the different bits of the VIN mean so I put our VIN into the system. Everything that came back in the search seemed to match my expectations regarding the make and model of our brand new caravan etc but the one thing that surprised me was the year. We ordered our caravan at the end of 2017 and it arrived with the dealer in February 2018 so we are confident it is a 2018 model, however, the website above says that the VIN indicates that it is a 2019 model manufactured between September 2018 and 2019 which suggests that it hasn't been made yet! Very strange!

Hi can anyone tell me whear i find a vin number on a clubman 390 2 please?
i can not find a long number
there are numbers on the window?
there is a chasis number but only two digits? nect to chasis number?
Its old i know that either 1980s/ or 1990/s...
I wouldn't bother too much about a VIN number, I never found mine and it hasn't given me any problems. Just go by the CRIS number on the windows.
------------- Best Regards,
Colin

Hi Granadaman
Welcome to the forum.
It might be best to start a new post with your question rather than adding to the end of this very old post about a different topic. People who can answer your question may not look here so it’s always best to start a new post with your topic in the title line. You will get more responses that way.

HI Granadaman. Not sure if you want to buy them and fit them yourself or find someone who can do it all for you.
Normally you can have a look at the existing bearings to see what type they are, ball race or taper roller and most will have a number stamped on them. Googling that number will often bring up a supplier, or try one of the online towing companies.
