Hi i am new to the forum i have bought 2010 coachman amara 535 and have noticed small amounts of pink fluid in the shower tray after i have towed the van i have cleaned the seal and put vasaline on it but it still leaked a little, coming home from our last trip at the week end completely flushed cistern empty, no pink fluid in tray could it need new lip seal
Alita,
I'd definitely advise against using vaseline on the seal - it contains petrol which rots rubber!
You should use Thetfords own lubricant, a general silicon spray or olive oil.
The lip seal is easy to replace - just remove eight screws to get at it.

I think you will find that on the Amara the toilet is a manual flush and not a 12 volt electrical flush so it's more likely to be the anti-syphon valve rather than the pump.
It may help if 'alita197' can confirm that it is a manual flush toilet.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Ring Thetford support and ask them my loo had a similar problem and they found a solution straight away, mine is a different loo so the solution is likely to be different but definitely not the lip seal.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013
thetford recommend travelling with the flush tank empty to avoid the odd leak.. so maybe its normal.. i dont think its the blade seal.. any leaks there would go into the waste tank not on the shower floor..
Hi i emptied the the flush tank on my way home at the week-end when i got home there was no pink water in the shower tray so may be that is the way to go travel with it empty many thanks for the advise
