Hi when I try to ignite the Carver 3600 in my van it just does a low clicking noise and fails to fire up . is there a piezo switch failing here if so how do I renew. many thanks .

We haven't got a carver now but there is a guy in Nottingham who specialises in them. He has a lot of parts. It is Ark systems at Keyworth, Notts. You can contact him Monday to Friday during the day on 07901 544431. His email is info at arcsystems.biz

He has been very helpful and sorted our problems out.

'it just does a low clicking noise'

That sounds to me that it is sparking, so need a bit more info

Is there a red light on the control knob?

Is there a chance the heaters gas isolation tap is turned off?

Have you had the van a while and lit the fire easily and many times before, or is it new to you?

Thanks for response. Yes the red light is on the control knob. yes we've had the van 11years now in fact you did a great job repairing the blower bit of the carver about two years ago. that part works a treat ever since.

You missed the second question?

Overall though, the problem is most likely it's age, a lot of use over the years and it probably needs a proper service, but even if their not used that much the weather gets at them and causes similar problems for different reasons!

Thanks Gary bit overwhelmed at present as the cars heater matrix has perished also. on top of that the house bathroom taps sprang a leak while we were away . but thanks I will call when I've sorted out my water troubles.

Hi I have just brought a transit autosleeper an the heater blows out but gas doesn't ignite! I'm very new to this so any advice greatly appreciated,
